Isuzu Parts warranties have been designed to complement our extensive range, including a 3 warranty on Isuzu Genuine Parts.

Service and Parts Warranty


Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

 

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

This warranty is given by Isuzu Australia Limited, ABN 97 006 962 572 ("IAL") whose business address is 66 Foundation Rd, Truganina VIC 3029. IAL's telephone number is 1800 035 640.

The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies in respect of the product (or service) which the consumer has under the Australian Consumer Law and any other law in relation to goods and services to which this warranty relates.



Parts & Accessories


P&A means Genuine IAL approved Parts & Accessories;
Dealer means an IAL Approved Dealer;
ASPO means IAL Authorised Service and Parts Outlet;
Non-Isuzu OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer parts and accessories; (Meritor and Eaton) and,
BVP means Genuine IAL parts and accessories marketed as "Best Value Parts".
IAL warrants P&A for theperiodsand on the conditions set out in the table below. There are nodistancelimits.

P&A installed by a Dealer or ASPO to a new Isuzu Truck, prior to delivery, are covered by IAL's factory-warranty of 3 years.

The warranty covers the correction of defects in any P&A, by repair or at IAL’s option by replacement, during the relevant warranty period.

A receipt, or other proof of purchase, should be provided to verify the date that any P&A were purchased. It is the date of purchase that is relevant when calculating a period, not when the P&A were installed.

Explanations

 

All Isuzu Parts & Accessories including Genuine, Approved & BVP are not restricted by a kilometre and/or hours in operation condition.


P&A installed after new vehicle delivery by a Dealer or ASPO are covered by a 3 year warranty.(Parts & Labour)

Where P&A are installed by a Dealer or ASPO into a non-Isuzu branded vehicle (eg. Hino, Fuso, etc.), the warranty period is 12 months.(Parts & Labour)

P&A installed by anybody other than a Dealer or ASPO are covered under a 12 month partonly warranty (No Labour).

IAL's warranty extends to Non-Isuzu OEM fitted to Isuzu Trucks and other vehicles, and includes Eaton and Meritor parts.

IAL's warranty for Isuzu Trucks fitted with Non-Isuzu OEM by a Dealer or ASPO is 3 years.(Parts & Labour)

Where Non-Isuzu OEM are fitted into a vehicle that is not an Isuzu Truck by a Dealer or ASPO, the warranty period is 12 months (Parts & Labour).

Where OEM are fitted into any vehicle, including an Isuzu Truck, by anybody other than a Dealer or ASPO, the warranty period is 12 months (Parts Only - No Labour).

BVP are quality goods produced for owners of older model Isuzu trucks that are no longer covered by IAL's factory-warranty.

IAL warrants all BVP purchased from and fitted by a Dealer or ASPO to any vehicle for a period of 12 months, (Parts & Labour).

IAL warrants all BVP purchased from a Dealer or ASPO for a period of 12 months (Parts Only).



Parts and Accessories not conforming to IAL specification.


Any P&A or parts or accessories not approved by IAL, or not conforming to IAL factory specifications and all costs in connection such with the fitting, removal, installation or reinstallation of such parts and accessories do not have any IAL warranty. Parts and accessories that are not distributed by IAL, including counterfeit or previously repaired parts resold as new items, are also not covered by any IAL warranty.


Parts and Accessories purchased for Applications other than their intended use.


If P&A are used in an application other than was designed or intended by IAL, no warranty applies unless previously advised by IAL, in writing.

 

Warranty Exclusions (P&A) P&A - Warranty Exclusions


The tyres (and tubes where applicable) are not covered by this warranty. However, they may be covered by the relevant manufacturer.

Batteries are warranted for 12 months from date of purchase. However, the relevant manufacturer may have an additional warranty period.

 

Damage - The warranty does not in any way cover the following causes of damage:

Damage caused by an accident, fire, theft or moving objects striking the vehicle.
Damage caused by industrial fallout, chemicals or sealants.
Damage caused by atmospheric fallout or flood, hail, salt, etc.
Maintenance items - Service items such as brake/clutch adjustment, replacement of filters, wiper rubbers, etc., which are required as part of normal vehicle maintenance, (refer Maintenance Schedule). These items will be covered to the extent of manufacturer defect.

 

Misuse - The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Misuse or abuse of the vehicle or part such as by racing, overloading, misapplication of the part, or by neglect etc,.
Operation of the vehicle or part after it is known to be defective.
Failure to carry out proper servicing or maintenance.
Use of incorrect types and grades of fuel, oil, coolant or lubricants.
Alteration or modification of the vehicle or part by any party not authorised by Isuzu.
Failure to mount body/equipment or part in accordance with Isuzu recommendations.
The fitting of parts or accessories not marketed by Isuzu.
Cosmetic or surface corrosion resulting from scratches, stone chips, etc.
Any work carried out on the vehicle by someone other than an authorised Isuzu Truck Dealer, being the reasonable cause of the failure.
The part being used in an application other than for which it was designed.

 

How to make a claim


If a defect in an any Goods becomes apparent, an owner/operator must do the following things to make a valid claim under this warranty:

Immediately contact your Authorised Dealer and notify them of the defect as well as provide any other relevant information;

Arrange to have the Goods delivered immediately to an Authorised Dealer as advised by them. (You should note that delivery may be included as part of IAL's Isuzu Assist program. Conditions apply. Please see the relevant information in the Owner's Manual for more details);

If necessary, use all reasonable means to protect the Goods from further damage once the defect becomes apparent until it is delivered; Delivering Goods to an Authorised Dealer is the responsibility of the owner/operator;

Any costs incurred by an owner/operator in delivering the Goods to an Authorised Dealer are not covered under this warranty, but may be covered under IAL's.

Only repairs or any other works carried out by an Authorised Dealer as authorised by IAL are free of charge. IAL also has a grievance policy if an owner/operator is dissatisfied about any aspect of claiming under this warranty by calling Isuzu Customer Care on 1800 035 640 and discussing their grievance.
